Melanie Jayne Chisholm, born 12 January 1974, is the athletic, powerhouse vocalist of the Spice Girls — forever known as Sporty Spice. With her tracksuits, high kicks, and incredible range, she brought both strength and soul to the group’s music during the 1990s Girl Power explosion.

After the Spice Girls took a break in 2001, Mel C launched one of the most successful solo careers of any Spice Girl, selling millions of albums worldwide. Her debut album Northern Star (1999) featured hits like “Never Be the Same Again” and “I Turn to You”, earning her critical and commercial success. She’s since released multiple albums, exploring pop, rock, dance, and acoustic sounds.

Mel C has also shined on stage and television, with appearances including:
